Lake Biel

The lake has a length of 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) and a width of 4.1 kilometres (2.5 mi). Its surface area is about 40 square kilometres (15 sq mi). Taximum depth is about 74 metres (243 ft). It is 429 metres (1,407 ft) above sea level. It is surrounded by a lot of wine-producing villages.
